Located on a small square not far from the Market in Sint-Niklaas and the train station, you find Het Gevoel. A beautiful mansion is the home of this classically decorated restaurant. When we arrive, all the tables are elegantly set with a lot of eye for detail and we can just pick a table.
We get a little appetizer with some bread when we make our choice and I order a salad with scampi and fresh pineapple. They served the salad on a beautiful plate and tasted delicious. The scampi were cooked to perfection and combined perfectly with the caramelized pineapple. With this, I ordered a glass of white wine which worked really well with the salad.
I already noticed that they served tarte tatin, one of my favorite desserts, so I didn’t hesitate :).
My friend ordered some tea and surprisingly it came served on a whole tray. Fantastic to serve tea like that.
Overall, I recommend this place when you are in Sint-Niklaas because of the beautiful atmosphere, the very nice service, and of course the very good food.
