Photo Sunday 11 - Travel Eat Enjoy Repeat

With Photo Sunday I want to share beautiful shots with a story.

This weeks photo is by Agnes who was born and raised in a small country called Estonia. She fell in love with traveling as a little kid and has been seeking adventure ever since. If you would like to read more about her travel experiences or exciting places, she is sharing her stories on Look at her go.

This photo was captured before Christmas in Bucharest, Romania. When you travel, you discover how some international holidays are celebrated so differently. I was visiting the open village museum in Bucharest where Christmas festival was held. People were dressed in all sorts of strange costumes and played music, performed dances or read some poems. In some parts of Romania, it is a tradition that a group of men dress up as seen in the picture, bang the big bells hanging around their waists while sitting in circles in front of the house to protect it from evil spirits. It was definitely fun and interesting to see that tradition practiced on the stage. And how fun would it be to stumble upon it when strolling on the streets in Romania on a Christmas Eve?

You can find more beautiful pictures of her adventures on her instagram and facebook page.
