Photo Sunday 23 - Travel Eat Enjoy Repeat

With Photo Sunday I want to share beautiful shots with a story.

This week’s photo is by Becky. She works full time in the UK; however, her real passion is travel. She went on her first solo trip to Australia, aged 32 and has now totted up 40 countries across 6 continents. Becky loves outdoor adventures and summited Mount Kilimanjaro in 2012. She also has a real love for wildlife, especially penguins. Who doesn’t love penguins! She takes you along on her adventures on her blog Becky The Traveller.

Photo Sunday 23

This photo was captured on a weekend camping trip in the UK to the Lake District National Park. It’s is a huge area so pretty hard to cover in a weekend. But it also means there are plenty of quiet spots in such a popular area.

I came across a sign for ‘White Moss Walks’ whilst driving between the villages of Ambleside and Grasmere. I love nature and wildlife so I guess ‘White Moss’ appealed to my interests.

After a short walk from the car park, I came across this gorgeous spot. The weather had been gray and rainy for a lot of the weekend but finally, the sunshine had come out. At last, I can take some photos without having to hide my camera under my waterproof jacket!

The walk then continued through a peaceful wooded area covered in bluebells, another highlight for me. I am soon crouched on the ground taking more photos. And out of the woods, the path leads me onto Rydal Water which is a fantastic walk with beautiful views.

It just goes to show that being spontaneous does have its benefits!
