Of course, I don’t have to tell you that Belgium is famous for its beers. A typical Belgian beer that is only brewed here in Belgium is Lambic. The special feature of lambic is that it is fermented by exposure to wild yeasts present in the air and the building.

Living in Belgium doesn’t mean that we visit Brussels enough, unfortunately. It was about time to visit our capital again so we booked a room at Hotel Motel One in Brussels to enjoy everything that Brussels has to offer.
If there is one thing we love to do while exploring cities and traveling it is discovering delicious food. I couldn’t be happier when I was announced the winner of a dinner for two at The Living in Brussels. This restaurant is the beating heart of the boutique hotel Pillows Grand Hotel Place Rouppe in the center of Brussels.
Amsterdam is an amazing city to visit: lovely picturesque canals, famous musea, and a lot of history. We were there for 1.5 days and had plenty of time to do a lot of things. Visiting Amsterdam soon? Here are some ideas on what to do. There are so many more things to do, but this is already a very good start.
Although we are living in Belgium, we don’t visit The Netherlands, and particularly Amsterdam a lot. In fact, I have lived in The Netherlands (Eindhoven) for almost 4 years and I have visited Amsterdam twice. So when we were looking for an interesting city not far from Belgium, we quickly decided on this beautiful historical city.
For our trip to Amsterdam, we decided on taking a hotel outside the city center: XO Hotels Park West. For one, these are not so expensive and it is not so noisy compared to hotels in the center of Amsterdam. XO Hotels Park West is conveniently located right across a tram stop which brings you to the city center in about 15 minutes. You can buy tickets in the vending machines in the lobby of the hotel. The last tram leaves the city center a little past midnight.
Budapest is a hot city to visit at the moment and that doesn’t come as a surprise because it has a lot to offer: beautiful parks and boulevards, an intriguing history, a wide variety of thermal baths, and amazing food. About the latter, we will talk later but first, let us see what you can do in the capital of Hungary.
