With Photo Sunday I want to share beautiful shots with a story.
This week’s photo is by Jennifer Riley. She has been traveling the world for 20 years. Sometimes alone, sometimes with her wife Laura, she navigates the globe as a gluten-free lesbian. Her stories of adventures, fears, dreams, triumphs, and disasters while traveling the world can be found on her blog, The Rainbow Route. You can see more of Jennifer’s travel photos on her Instagram.
This simple photo is my favourite to look back on. There’s nothing especially grand about it, but that’s why I love it. It reminds me that there are still beautiful places in the world that don’t have crowds of tourists. Also, I love the ocean and this just might be my favourite beach in the world! This photo encapsulates everything I want when I travel – peace, sunshine, clear water, and relaxation. Until I found this beach, I wasn’t sure such a place existed. But I will definitely be going back😊 Oh, and if you’re wondering where this little gem can be found, it’s on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. There is a whole stretch of beaches like this on the road south from Puerto Viejo. Rent a bike for the day, explore them all, and find your favourite!
