With Photo Sunday I want to share beautiful shots with a story.
This week’s photo is from Hélène. She has spent the last 7+ years living and working in London and taking advantage the city’s terrific flight links to travel as much as possible in her free time. In 2016, she decided to start documenting her travels to help other enthusiasts plan their trips and launched her travel blog Flight to Somewhere. She loves photography, so her destination guides are always accompanied by tons of photos and you can also follow her adventures on Instagram.
This is a photograph of Lake Bled in Slovenia, which was my discovery of the year 2016. In just one long weekend there we experienced four seasons weather-wise: snow on arrival, melting the next day like spring, summer heat the day after that, followed by a rainy and cold autumn day. Over the same weekend, we managed to go hiking, cycling, and rowing on the lake, ending the days with spa and one of the most memorable fine dining experiences ever. And of course, I came back with a memory card full of spectacular photos, like this one. Slovenia was certainly a very positive surprise and I really hope to go back there again someday!
