With Photo Sunday I want to share beautiful shots with a story.

This week’s photo is from Carole Terwilliger Meyers. She blogs at Travels with Carole. Her posts offer short chunks of travel information that readers can digest quickly. She also provides even more travel inspiration at her BERKELEY AND BEYOND website.

We came across this group of people from China at the Santa Monica Pier in Southern California. They were making quite a scene as they giggled and unfurled their country’s flag for a trophy photo. Soon I realized that they were from Wenzhou, an out-of-the-way city where my husband and I had traveled the previous year. We did try to chat with them, but the language barrier dampened the excitement a tad.
