Eiffel Tower by night

This was taken during our second trip to Paris. Although it is only a train ride away, we don’t go to Paris very often. But I love going there because there is so much to discover. During our second time we did things we haven’t done a few years ago. It is interesting to wander around and explore new parts of a city, and certainly Paris with so much diversity. Next time, I want to go in spring to walk in one of the many beautiful parks in Paris. Because that is one thing we haven’t done in Paris and that is just walk in a park and maybe have a picnic with French cheese, a baguette, and some wine. And for dessert some macarons or kouign-amann. Can’t wait for my next trip to Paris.

If you want to know more about what to do in Paris, you can read this. Some other beautiful pictures of Paris can be found here.

Mechelen Market Square

It were the first beautiful days of the year, so I grabbed my camera and went to take some pictures in Mechelen. It is so nice to see the first sun of the year and feel spring in the air. Hopefully it will stay sunny for some more days.

Zoniënwoud Brussels Belgium
Fall is finally here but the weather was so good that we decided to go for a walk on Sunday. Because we don’t go to Brussels a lot, we decided to go to the Zonienwoud, a forest in Brussels. We chose for a specific area with some buildings like this one. The light was so beautiful and that is why I love fall. I hope we still have some nice days like this.

Beer festival Mechelen

Although I don´t like beer, we went to a beer festival in Mechelen this weekend. I like tasting little sips from the beer my boyfriend is drinking. There were a lot of small breweries with all types of beer. It was not only on the market place in Mechelen but also in a brewery in Mechelen (Het Anker), where they make Gouden Carolus Classic, my boyfriend his favorite beer. You can also have dinner there, and if you had to many beers to taste, there is also a hotel.

This was our last week in the US, and we ended in Las Vegas. Although this was the 3th time here, we still discover new things. This time we went to Red Rock Canyon and the Neon Museum. It was a nice way to end our holiday, and maybe we will be back to this very special city.

Old Faithfull Geyser Yellowstone National Park

This week, we were in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. We have spend a lot of time near the Old Faithfull Geyser and saw it erupt 2 times. These two National Parks were very beautiful, with each having their distinct characteristics, being different although being so close to each other. During the 5 days we have spend in these parks, we did some hiking to discover even more of the parks.

This week, we were in Des Moines where we attended the wedding of some friends. We were very happy to be part of this celebration and enjoyed every minute in the city. We were given a private tour of the city and visited The Capital Building, The Des Moines Art Center, Sculpture Park, and some fantastic restaurants. This was also the start of our roadtrip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park.

During this week, I was on a business trip to South-Korea. I have met some very nice people and have seen a totally different culture. But, the thing I will remember most, is the food. They introduced me to their food culture and let me taste some very delicious dishes.
