With Photo Sunday I want to share beautiful shots with a story.
This week’s photo is by Daisy Li. She is a solo backpacker that travels the world budget style. She grew up between 5 cities in China and Canada and has traveled over 20 countries. She has slept in teepees, bungalows, beach houses, and cave rooms, hosted by lawyers, professors, hippies, bikers and many more. She has cracked her head in France, twisted her foot in Hungry and got chikungunya in India. Yet she has witnessed hot air balloons in Cappadocia during sunrise, rode a motorcycle up into the Himalayas, slurped fresh oysters by the harbor of Santa Barbara and would not change her experiences for the world. She shares her adventures on Beyond my Border.
I visited the Himalayas with a biker in India. During the week-long trip, we managed to lose our phones (and found it), I lost my passport (and found it), we got ourselves lost in the forest and managed to find our way and eventually, had a motorcycle accident that almost destroyed the bike. It was no surprise how relieved I was when we made it to the top of the mountain and witnessed the sunset in one piece 🙂
