The St. Regis Hotel in Vancouver (Canada)
In downtown Vancouver, right around the corner of Gastown, you’ll find the stunning St. Regis Hotel. This New York Style boutique hotel offers beautiful rooms and all modern luxuries at walking distance from all major Vancouver attractions.
Reception
Upon entering the beautiful lobby, you are greeted with a warm welcome by the staff. They give you all the necessary information about the hotel and if you want also the city.
If you need parking (which is 30 dollars + tax), the staff are happy to show you how to access the parking garage, they even come outside with you. And you can rest assured that your car will be save during your stay.
When you stay at St. Regis Hotel, you enjoy some complimentary amenities such as breakfast, fast Wifi, and local and international calls.
Rooms
We stayed at an executive suite at St. Regis Hotel. This warmly decorated room has both a living room and a bedroom that are separated by heavy pocket doors.
The living room has a cozy couch that can be converted into a sofa bed, a nice coffee table and a big television.
A king-size bed is the centerpiece of the bedroom. The soft sheets and pillows are very welcoming after the long trip. The bottles of Fuji water are a very nice addition. And so are the little chocolates on the bed. To make sure all your electronics are charged, you have a desk with a multi-plug charging station.
A sink with a marble tabletop is the highlight of the bathroom. But we can’t forget the big bathtub, the soft towels and my favorite: the l’Occitane products. I love l’Occitane.
Food
At the St. Regis Hotel, you get a complimentary breakfast that includes omelets, toast, fresh fruit juices. You can choose between 3 options that have different combinations of all those things. I must admit that I prefer a breakfast buffet at a hotel, so I can create my own breakfast.
The St. Regis bar and grill is conveniently located next to the hotel. It serves delicious pub food using quality local sustainable ingredients. We had dinner here rather late in the evening after arriving in the city. We both enjoyed a glass of Shiraz wine and nachos with guacamole. I also had a Southwest salad while my boyfriend enjoyed a good plate of fish and chips.
Conclusion
The excellent location and the beautiful rooms make St. Regis the perfect hotel for you to explore Vancouver.
