Although British food isn’t known for being refined, we had some pretty good food while we were in London. Here are some tips if you are planning a trip to London on where to eat.
The Admiralty
The Admiralty was our first lunch in London, near Trafalgar Square. I had the lamb, feta, and pomegranate salad while the boyfriend ordered a steak and ebs pie. Both were very tasty and more than enough.
The Kings Arms
This restaurant in Tooley Street is mainly known for its ribs but they offer a lot more. Ribs were more my boyfriend his thing while I ordered the salmon from the suggestions. When I saw sticky toffee pudding on the dessert menu, I knew I had to try it. This dish didn’t only look good but it tasted amazing: the lukewarm pudding with the hot sticky sauce and the cold vanilla ice cream. A must try.
Walkers of Whitehall
This restaurant is hidden a bit in Whitehall. We ordered a grilled cajun chicken burger and some sliders (different mini burgers). They were good but some more chicken on my burger would be nice.
Dean Swift
Dean Swift serves a Sunday roast with choices of beef, pork, chicken, or lamb. When we were there only chicken was left that was served with vegetables, baked potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, and gravy, a lot of gravy. Of course, I ended this meal with dessert: cheesecake.
Having afternoon tea is definitely something you have to do while in London. That will be on our list for next time.
