Hiking: Achouffe in Belgium

Achouffe

Starting in Achouffe, you can do a beautiful 8km hike. It is a round trip that can be extended to around 12k.
In the beginning, you have to cross a little river but because it is not deep, this is fairly easy to do: take off your shoes and socks, roll up your pants and just go.
You follow the river constantly while walking in between the trees. At the end, there are some ups and downs but the most part is flat. read more

Visit the Achouffe brewery

Visit to the Zwin nature Parc

Zwin Nature Parc

An excellent idea for enjoying the outdoors at the Belgian Coast is a visit to The Zwin, a nature Parc with a lot to offer. The Zwin dunes and polders are perfect for walking, cyclists, or horseback riding. Bird spotters are in the right place because of the thousands of birds that land at the Zwin to breed, hibernate or look for food. Especially the stork stand out when you enter Zwin Nature Parc. read more

Exploring the MAS in Antwerp

MAS Antwerp

On a Sunday afternoon, we decided to visit the MAS (Museum aan de Stroom) in Antwerp. The first thing you notice is the impressive red building, designed by a Dutch architectural office. It is 10 stories high and not only has a number of galleries with permanent and temporary exhibitions, there is also the visible storage, a boulevard, and a panoramic view over Antwerp. read more

Exploring the green part of Brussels

sonian forest

It is surprising that a big city like Brussels still has a lot of green. The Sonian Forest is a forest in Brussels and part of the scattered remains of the ancient Charcoal Forest. It is the perfect place to walk around on a sunny day, riding a bike, or just put down a blanket and have a picnic. Because it is so big, you definitely have to come back multiple times to explore everything. read more
